Veronique Bourbeau is an ultra-distance runner, author of the book "Fearless: One woman's transformational journey from a treadmill to running the African Continent," and international public speaker with a profound commitment to humanity.
Her passion for improving the lives of vulnerable communities, especially through access to clean water was ignited by a profound near-death experience at age 12. That moment didn’t just change her life; it awakened a fearless resilience and a lifelong commitment to building a better world.

This dedication is also reflected in her academic pursuits. Véronique holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration earned with a mention of excellence, demonstrating a rigorous approach to all her pursuits.
A formidable ultra-runner, Véronique began her athletic journey in her 30s. Among her many achievements, she ran the entire length of Japan—3,010 kilometres in just 72 days—and has claimed victory in nearly every ultra-race across Asia. Notably, she broke the event record at the 2019 Malaysia 444km Coast-to-Coast race, finishing in 98.27 hours.
Her humanitarian vision was further shaped by her time as a journalist in Senegal, where she witnessed first-hand the devastating impact of limited access to clean water. These experiences led her to found Run4Humanity—an initiative that seamlessly merges her athletic endurance with her passion for social impact, transforming lives one kilometre and one community at a time through access to clean, safe water.
